Mobile green architecture

The design stemmed from the chosen materials, structural needs and internal flow. The reclaimed materials were pervasive to expose the green influence behind the design. Forces from towing required lateral bracing resulting in the tree language. This language carried through to the windows, skylights and roof beams, where the structure dissolves to be inviting to customers. Inside you have a cashier and barista, each with their supporting equipment and space for managing several orders at once.

Structure and roof detail

This project felt more like resolving furniture due to its small scale detail and spatial complexities. Due to close customer interaction with the mobile architecture, attention to detail was paramount. Column connections with roof were strategically placed for clean resolution. The inside space required many tasks to be optimized allowing for enough room and light to reduce fatigue on employees. The end result was well received by employees in both work-space and flow.

Unfortunately Evobean has gone under and all this hard work has been relegated to storage. The project got a week on the mall before the company pulled the plug. The kiosk as is only contains the generator and water system, all the coffee equipment has been returned.
